Recognizing that the physically flat Cubes and Platonic Gems have sculptural properties, I decided to enrich the viewing experience by layering and/or thermoforming the imagery.  They take off from the original forms but work more as abstractions. By including internal contradictions of spatial cues, they present perceptual puzzles.  Viewed from different angles the changing appearances are surprising.
