LAURENCE ELIAS

This new body of mixed-media work extends my previous format into something larger and more complex.  These are constructed from layers of flat wood panels that retain the perceptual challenge of apparent spatiality, with extended chromatic harmony.  The use of framing and background that maintains the non-traditional shapes stretches the notion and thereby interrogates the established practice of framing art
